1st Lochwinnoch Boys’ Brigade is an organisation for school aged boys which meets on Tuesday evenings during school term in Calder Church Hall and the Annexe. We provide opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment.

A creative and social outlet in the village teaching Brazilian samba and carnival music, comprising 25-30 percussionists, with performances at all village celebrations. Tutors Doug and Damo both have extensive experience playing and teaching Brazilian music, teaching is from scratch and our three annual intake points will be advertised on social media.

A fun and energetic seasonal windsurfing club running from April to September. Based near the loch pathway close to Castle Semple Visitor Centre, we cater for junior and adult windsurfers of all abilities. We are affiliated with RYA Scotland and our expert coaches can teach beginners or develop skilled sailors.

A friendly local group aiming to reach people with dementia, their carers or family. In addition, we provide social interaction and support for older members of our community. Diggin' It is a community project offering help and materials for growing your own food from your own home. We even have a seed library and provide training on permaculture and seed saving. If you're interested, please do get in touch. More information is available on our website.

Eadha is an environmental charity providing a rewilding, tree planting and environmental education service. We also sell native wildflowers, shrubs and trees, in particular rare species and offer regular volunteering opportunities both in our nursery near Bishopton and on project sites.

Kilbarchan Agricultural Society (SC051311) was established in 1828 to advance rural crafts, heritage and culture by providing education in and promotion of agriculture, livestock, horticulture and craft skills across the community, and bring rural communities together through a range of cultural and historical events including the annual Kilbarchan Show.

Lochwinnoch Bowling Club has a full bowling green and membership is available to all. The venue has full facilities, a licensed bar and hall which can be used for meetings and functions.

Capoeira is an acrobatic martial art, dance and musical tradition from Brazil. It is 100% non-contact. Classes are fun, energetic and cultural. Tuition is by Fiaz from Glasgow Capoeira with 20+ years experience. The class is for 7-11 year olds.

Community councils act as a voice for their local area. They share the views and concerns of local people in their area on a wide range of issues of public concern and make representations to their local authority, other public sector bodies and private agencies on matters of interest to the community.

We are a non-profit organisation set up to help the village of Lochwinnoch thrive. We are working across a number of projects in and around the village.
Membership is open to everyone in Lochwinnoch - join us to have your say in ways to develop the village for all our residents.

A fun, comprehensive exercise class taking in aerobics, strength and balance, and flexibility to maintain health and wellbeing, Lochwinnoch Hearties has been running for thirty years and is affiliated with Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. Regular classes from 7-9pm Monday and Thursday, in the McKillop.

Classes designed to help your body move with a sense of ease, enhancing your body awareness and creating a support system for all that you would like to achieve in your daily life. Classes run weekly: Mat Pilates on Tuesdays at 7pm, Somatic Pilates on Thursdays at 11am.
